The Portuguese forward commented on the situation at the end of the ‘El Clasico Legends’ match in Tel Aviv on Tuesday.
“I believe that, in a private conversation, there can be expressions that are out of context.” Figo said to Marca.
Figo went on to reveal that Perez has since apologised to him after the secretly recorded conversations came to light.
“As I said, it was a private conversation, and [Perez] apologised, so for me the matter is closed,” he said.
