Vietnam 2-0 Myanmar – Fourth consecutive SEA Games Gold for Vietnam Women’s Football
Vietnam beat Myanmar 2-0 as the Vietnam Women’s Football team secure their fourth consecutive SEA Games Gold and became the first time to win gold four times in a row.

What happened
Mai Duc Chung’s ladies easily cruised past Cambodia 3-0 in the finals while Myanmar needed a thrilling comeback at Thailand 3-2 to set up the SEA Games Women’s Football final.
The game was fast in the very first minutes, with Vietnam had their early chance which skipper Huynh Nhu finished wide from Nguyen Thi Tuyet Dung’s cross.
The defending champions soon found themselves ahead in the 12th minute, and this time, the Portugal Lank FC’s star did not waste it as she tapped home from another pass from Tuyet Dung.
Bich Thuy and Huynh Nhu almost doubled the lead for Vietnam, but Myanmar’s goalkeeper Mya Nyein was focusing to keep her team at bay.
After the break, Myanmar started to push forward to to find an equalizer, but Thanh Nha vaporized any hope for another comeback hope with a stunning goal in the 75th minute.
The substitute sprinted down the right flank before chipping over Mya from outside of the box as the Vietnam fans went wild.
With Thanh Nha’s terrific goal, Vietnam secured another gold medal in the SEA Games 32, and it is their fourth consecutive in Women’s football.
The gold added to the 17 tallies for Vietnam in the southeast asian games that now got up to 322 medal including 124 golds, 100 silvers and 98 bronzes, leaving Thailand far behind on the tally with 94 golds, 76 silvers and 93 bronzes.
