NBA Free Agency: Paul George signs with 76ers
Superstar forward Paul George has agreed to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnaworski.

George joins with the 76ers
George, 34, inked a four-year, $212 million maximum contract, which includes a player option on the final season in 2027-28.
George and his agent, Aaron Mintz of CAA, met with 76ers officials including owner Josh Harris, president of basketball operations Daryl Morey, general manager Elton Brand, and Sixers legend Julius Erving in Los Angeles.
The signing came hours after the Los Angeles Clippers announced that George, a California native, would be leaving.
“Paul has informed us that he is signing his next contract with another team,” the Clippers said in a release Sunday night.
“We negotiated for months with Paul and his representative on a contract that would make sense for both sides, and we were left far apart. The gap was significant. We understand and respect Paul’s decision to look elsewhere for his next contract.”
“We will miss Paul.”
George had a $48.8 million option for this coming season but chose to become a free agent.
PG joins Maxey, Embiid
George, 34, spent the past five seasons with the Clippers.
Last season, he averaged 22.6 points, 6 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.5 steals in over 263 regular-season games with the Clippers.
The former 2010 10th overall pick teams up with MVP center Joel Embiid and All-Star guard Tyrese Maxey.
In Philadelpha, George has a chance to reach that ultimate goal — winning an NBA championship.
