UNITED SIGN TEN HAG TO NEW DEAL UNTIL JUNE 2026

United signed Ten Hag to a new deal that would have him stay with the club until June 2026.

Furthermore, the new deal replaces the one year remaining from his previous contract.

“I am very pleased to have reached agreement with the club to continue working together,” Ten Hag said on the club’s official website.

Moreover, the terms of the deal were not disclosed.

However, Ten Hag is expected to get the same terms as his previous contract, reports said.

‘REFLECT’ ON TWO TROPHIES BUT ‘LOTS OF WORK AHEAD,’ SAYS MANAGER

Ten Hag acknowledged that fans can “reflect” on the two trophies the club previously won but “lots of work” remains ahead.

He said there were “many examples of progression from where we were when I joined.”

Furthermore, he expects his team to further improve and challenge “for English and European titles” moving forward.

“However, we must also be clear that there are still lots of hard work ahead to reach the levels expected of Manchester United,” Ten Hag said.

“In my discussions with the club, we have found complete unity in our vision for reaching those goals,” he added.

TEN HAG ‘ONE OF MOST CONSISTENTLY SUCCESSFUL COACHES’ IN EUROPE, SAYS ASHWORTH

Furthermore, Ten Hag is “one of the most consistently successful coaches” in Europe, says new United sporting director Dan Ashworth.

“Erik has reinforced his record as one of the most consistently successful coaches in European football,” Ashworth said.

He said ten Hag “was the best partner for us to work with in driving up standards and outcomes.”

“This group of players and staff have already shown they are capable of competing and winning at the top level,” Ashworth said.

Meanwhile, United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy is reported to join Ten Hag’s staff this summer.

Moreover, Ten Hag’s new deal forges United’s new management’s resolve in working with the 54-year-old moving forward.

“We are looking forward to working hand-in-hand with Erik to achieve our shared ambitions for this football club,” Ashworth said.
