SINGH TO REPLACE NEHRA AS NEW GUJARAT TITANS COACH FOR IPL 2025

Furthermore, Singh is eyed to replace Nehra as the new Gujarat Titans coach for the IPL 2025 season, according to a News18report .

The Titans lost to the Chennai Super Kings in the 2023 IPL final.

Moreover, Nehra and director of cricket Vikram Solanski have been with the Titans since 2022.

That was the last time they won the title.

“Ashish Nehra and Vikram Solanski are highly likely to move on and discussions around Yuvrav Singh have already begun,” a source said.

“Nothing is finalized right now but there could be some major changes,” it added.

Moreover, Singh’s past mentorhip of current Gujarat captain Shubman Gill could be vital to boost camaraderie issue with the Titans.

Gill emerged as the Titans’ captain to replace Hardik Pandya.

But Pandya was traded to the Mumbai Indians this season.

However, the legendary all-rounder has no official head coaching experience in the IPL so far.

Should Nehra and Solanski part ways with Gujarat, the Titans will also lose their current entire coaching staff.

Aashish Kapoor, Naeem Amin, Narender Negi, and Mithun Manas. were expected to join Nehra and Solanski in leavng the Titans.

NEHRA CHOSE CHILDREN INSTEAD OF APPLYING FOR INDIA HEAD COACH ROLE

Meanwhile, Nehra chose his children instead of applying for the India head coach role that went to Gautam Gambhir.

Furthermore, Nehra was also not keen to travel away from his family for at least nine months.

“I never thought about it (India head coach role). My children are still young,” Nehra said.

“Gautam Gambhir also has young children, but everyone has different ideas. I am not in the mood to travel for nine months,” he added.

Furthermore, Nehra said he was “happy where I am,” referring to his stint with the Titans in the IPL 2024.
