ANCELOTTI CONVINCED MBAPPE WILL FIT REAL MADRID’S OFFENSIVE ATTACK
Furthermore, Ancelotti is convinced that Mbappe will fit into Real Madrid’s offensive attack despite the presence of several options in the team.
Ancelotti told his former player John Obi, who co-hosts the Obi One Podcast, that he is not worried about Mbappe.
“Fitting Mbappe in the team won’t be a problem. The key is that each player has to contribute talent and quality in service to the team,” the Real Madrid manager said.
“It’s important to remember what he said: ‘He’ll adapt to the team,'” he added.
Moreover, Mbappe will have to share the offensive limelight with forwards Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior, and Rodrygo under Real Madrid.
LOS BLANCOS COULD USE 4-3-3 SCHEME WITH MBAPPE UNDER COACH’S SYSTEM
Moreover, the Los Blancos could use a 4-3-3 scheme with Mbappe under the coach’s system.
Furthermore, Mbappe could team up with Vinicius, and Rdorygo under the possible scheme, something Ancelloti remains coy about.
“I see (Mbappe) him playing up front, and the attack is quite wide,” the manager said.
“The pitch is 68 meters wide, and we have to cover those 68 meters with the players in front,” he added.
Additionally, Ancelotti cited Vinicius’ versatility, wherein the latter “didn’t play like a (left) winger.”
“The important key to an attacking play is the mobility of the players,” the manager said.
PLAYERS’ FREEDOM REMAINS KEY FOR ANCELOTTI
Furthermore, Ancelotti cited the need to give his players the freedom to move and contribute to his offensive attack.
Aside from Vinicius, the manager also noted the versatility Bellingham and Rodrygo can offer to make room for Mbappe.
“Bellingham, sometimes played on the left, sometimes played in the middle, sometimes on the right,” Ancelotti said.
“Rodrygo started most of the games on the right but sometimes during the game. I see him playing on the left,” he added in jest.
Ancelotti noted a Real Madrid match against Manchester City where Rodrygo and Vinicius’ flexibility was on full display.
“I want to give my players freedom. They have to be able to manage the situation of the game,” the Italian manager said.
“We played one game against City with both Rodrygo and Vinicius on the left because we thought we could take advantage of that area,” he added.
