CHELSEA ACCEPTS ATLETICO MADRID BID TO LAND GALLAGHER

Furthermore, Chelsea accepts Atletico Madrid’s bid to land Gallagher worth £33 million (USD42.42 million) before add-ons, sources told ESPN on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old English midfielder, however, still has to decide on his future.

A MOVE FOR GALLAGHER WAS POSSIBLE, SAYS BLUES COACH

Moreover, a move for Gallagher was possible, says Blues coach Enzo Maresca.

Gallagher, Cole Palmer, and Marc Cucurella were told by Chelsea that they have an option to skip the Blues’ pre-season tour of the United States.

However, the trio can begin their training at Cobham early this month instead after their EURO 2024 stints, sources said.

“At the moment, Conor will be back with us when we are st Cobham,” Maresca said on Tuesday in Atlanta.

Chelsea is scheduled for a friendly against Club America.

BLUES SHOW INTEREST IN OMORODION; ATLETICO EYES SORLOTH

Furthermore, the Blues have shown interest in landing Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion.

However, Omorodion is currently playing for Spain in the Paris Olympics U23 men’s football tournament and would not welcome offers at this time.

Moreover, Atletico is currently in talks with Villareal over a transfer for Alexander Sorloth.

This became possible after a deal to land Girona striker Artem Dovbyk fell through.

The La Liga outfit was working on a deal for Dovbyk to replace Alvaro Morata last week after his agent raised his financial demands.
