West Ham signs Niclas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund in a four-year deal as the striker takes his talents to the English Premier League (EPL).

Furthermore, West Ham signs Fullkrug to complete his move from Germany’s Bundesliga to England’s EPL.

The 31-year-old forward is convinced this year is the perfect opportunity to make the move from Germany to England.

“I think the Premier League is the best league in the world, and for me, it is the right time to move over to England and play for a big Club like West Ham,” the German said.

“I have been thinking about West Ham for a long time now,” he added.

Fullkrug cites his familiarity with West Ham technical director Tim Steidten due to their history at Weder Bremen together.

“I have watched some genes and seen how much quality is there in the team,” he said about West Ham.

Moreover, West Ham reportedly spent £27 million (34.5 million UDST) to land the rights for the German international.

Furthermore, Fullkrug has proven to be an offensive dynamo anywhere he played.

The 6-foot-2 forward scored 50 goals in the Bundesliga, three in the UEFA Champions Club last season, and 13 in 21 caps for Germany.

Fullkrug had two goals each at the 2022 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2024.

Incidentally, he started his career at Werder Bremen then had two seasons with 1.FC Nurnberg.

Overall, Fullkrug tallied 21 goals and 11 assists in 54 games for club competitions and Germany.

STEIDTEN WELCOMES FULLKRUG, EXPECTS FORWARD TO PLAY KEY ROLE FOR HAMMERS RIGHT AWAY

Furthermore, Steidten welcomes the arrival of Fullkrug to West Ham, saying that he expects the forward to play a key role right away.

“Niclas has great experience and is at the stage of his career where we feel he can really give us his best years,” the West Ham official said.

“He is someone who we have watched very closely, and who we believe will be an excellent fit for the team and for the Club,” he added.

For his part, Fullkrug is looking forward not just to meeting West Ham fans personally but to playing under coach Julen Lopetegui.

“The chance to play under the head coach (Lopetegui) is also really exciting. His playing style is important for me,” the German said.

“I love being close to supporters, and I’m really looking forward to meeting the West Ham fans,” he added.
