Solskjaer willing to return to Manchester United

Solskjaer was dismissed by the Red Devils in November 2021 after nearly three years in charge.

The Norwegian initially replaced Jose Mourinho on an interim basis in December 2018.

He guided United to a second-place Premier League finish in the 2020-2021 season, but a run of six defeats in 11 games in late 2021 ultimately led to his dismissal.

However, his successor, Erik ten Hag, is currently facing mounting pressure amid a challenging start to the season.

Solskjaer has said that he wouldn’t rule out a return to Old Trafford if called by the club.

“If the family [United] asks, I would say yes every day of the week,” he said. “It feels wrong to talk about jobs that other people have now, but I would say yes, of course.”

“I am a proud Norwegian,” he said. “Of course, if the question arises – when Stale decides to give up – I will happily engage in discussions.”

Ten Hag asks United supporters to be patient

The Red Devils continue to struggle this season, having registered only three wins in eight games.

Nonetheless, Ten Hag has urged United supporters to remain patient with the team.

“Still we are working and progressing, we made a choice to sign very young players,” he said. “We believe in them this moment and also for the future.

“We have to build them. That takes time. I am impatient, I want to go straight forward but also we had success in two seasons.”
