“I’m not as good as you are, but I’ve played,” Murphy shot back.

Furthermore, David Goffin posted a 6-4, 7-5 upset win over world No.2 Alexander Zverev.

Moreover, the 33-year-old Belgian later dedicated his win to his newborn daughter, Emma.

This was Goffin’s first tournament since he and his wife, Stephanie Tuccito, welcomed Emma on September 17.

“I wanted to show my daughter that I can be a good tennis player, so I will try to find a few more years just to show her that I can still play tennis,” Goffin said.

“Even if she doesn’t realize yet, hopefully, she will come and watch a little bit,” he added.

The former world No.7 dropped to as low as No.134 in February before working his way back to become No.66 when he entered Shanghai.
