According to GOAL, Greenwood’s international future remains uncertain as he plans to hold talks with Tuchel.
The former Getafe and Man United star earned his first and only international cap in 2020 when he debuted against Iceland. England has yet to call Greenwood up for another game despite being his nation of birth.
Sources from the Sun stated that Greenwood is hopeful of a call-up soon and will make a final call on his future in international football. The current Marseille attacker is available to choose to represent Jamaica.
A source told The Sun, “Mason knows his chances of playing for England again are slim. But he wants to check with the FA and Tuchel now that he has been appointed to see what they think. He is determined to play at the highest level, and that means the World Cup. So if England don’t want him, he’ll switch to Jamaica and try and get to the 2026 World Cup that way.”
The 23-year-old will be back in action for Marseille on Sunday night as the French giants take on Montpellier in a Ligue 1 clash away from home.
