EMBIID GETS THREE-GAME SUSPENSION AFTER SHOVING PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER COLUMNIST
Embiid gets the three-game suspension from the league after he shoved Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Marcus Hayes.
This happened after the Sixers’ All-Star center took issue with Hayes’s past column, in which he mentioned the player’s son and late brother.
Furthermore, Embiid confronted Hayes after the Sixers lost to Memphis on Saturday, which led to the shoving incident.
The suspension will only begin if the Sixers reveal that Embiid is healthy enough to play.
Incidentally, the Sixers’ next three games will be against the LA Clippers on Wednesday, the LA Lakers on Friday, and the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday.
Embiid could make his season debut in Philadelphia against the New York Knicks on Tuesday.

Moreover, an NBA executive insisted that interactions between players and members of the media should “never turn physical.”
Furthermore, NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Joe Dumars cited the need to maintain a professional player-media relationship.
The retired former player acknowledged that the league ” understands (s) Joel was offended by the personal nature of the original version of the reporter’s column.”
“Interactions must remain professional on both sides and can never turn physical,” Dumars said.
Incidentally, Hayes mentioned Embiid’s late brother and son – both named Arthur – while questioning the player’s effort to stay in shape.
SIXERS CENTER REJECTS COLUMNIST’S APOLOGY AFTER CONFRONTATION
Furthermore, the Sixers’ center rejected the columnist’s apology after the confrontation.
Moreover, Embiid threatened Hayes that he may see “what I’m going to do to you, and I’m going to have to… live with the consequences.”
The Cameroonian-American big man is down with left knee issues that led to surgery last season.
Embiid joined the Sixers on their West Coast trip, where Philadelphia absorbed a 118-116 loss to the Phoenix Suns in Paul George’s debut with the franchise.
ESPN’s Bobby Marks reported that the Sixers’ center is expected to lose USD1.063 million in pay during his suspension.
