That energy ensured Sinner registered his second victory in as many matches in the round-robin tournament featuring the top eight men’s players.
“I’ve always liked playing at home,” Sinner said.
“If you like the fans and the people supporting you, it’s a big help,” he added.
MEDVEDEV WINS OVER DE MINAUR TO GET BACK INTO CONTENTION
Medvedev won over Alex De Minaur, 6-2, 6-4, to get back into contention.
Moreover, the Russian world No.4 never faced a single break point, as he bounced back from a loss to Fritz on Sunday.
In that match, Medvedev smashed his racket in frustration and lost his cool twice.
“I went into this match also blocking the noise even from myself,” Medvedev said.
“No, like tantrums and stuff. Just block the noise. And I really didn’t care what was happening on the court,” he added.
