Azam surges to second place in the all-time T20I run-scorers’ list after he overtook Kohli.
This came after he collected 4192 runs in 119 innings.
Furthermore, the 30-year-old Pakistani batter moved ahead of Kohli, who had 4188 runs in 117 innings.

STOINIS LEADS WAY AS AUSTRALIA BEAT AZAM, PAKISTAN BY SEVEN WICKETS
Meanwhile, Marcus Stoinis led the way as Pakistan beats Azam and Pakistan by seven wickets on Monday.
Moreover, Stoinis slammed huge sixes in an unbeaten 61 as Australia secured a 3-0 T20I series whitewash.
Furthermore, Australia skipper Josh Inglis described Stoinis’ performance as a “masterclass” after the latter blasted five fours in his 27-ball scoreline.
“It’s really nice to get another win and go 3-0 up. When he’s going like that, it’s really hard to stop,” Inglis said.
“One of those sixes was probably the biggest I’ve seen,” he added.
AGHA ASSURES PAKISTAN TO ‘COME BACK STRONGER’ AFTER WHITEWASH
Furthermore, stand-in captain Salman Ali Agha expects Pakistan to “come back stronger” after the whitewash.
Moreover, Agha rued his team’s failure to “capitalize the start” as they “lost too many wickets.”
“I think in the middle overs, we didn’t capitalize the start, we lost too many wickets. Lots of positives, the way some of the players batted and bowled, these youngsters will come good,” the Pakistani stand-in skipper said.
“It’s a big achievement for us to win a One Day series here after 22 years, could’ve done better in the T20 series but we’ll come back stronger. They have been amazing,” he added.
Meanwhile, Pakistani opening batter Ahmed Shehzad called for a “revamp” after getting frustrated on his team’s performance in Hobart.
“This team needs a revamp. Senior players who are baggage on the team must be replaced,” Shehzad said.
