CELTICS MEET BIDEN TO MARK BOSTON’S NBA CHAMPIONSHIP CELEBRATION

The Celtics meet Biden to mark Boston’s NBA championship celebration after their 4-1 win over the Dallas Mavericks in June.

Furthermore, Jayson Tatum and the rest of the Boston players, coaching staff and other team members were welcomed by Biden at the mansion’s South Lawn.

Moreover, the president praised the Celtics, whom “dominated Dallas at both ends of the floor.”

“My Secret Service name is Celtic,” Biden said.

“Everybody behind me is Irish in their heart,” he added.

BIDEN GETS CELTICS JERSEY NO. 46; HARRIS, EMHOFF ALSO RECEIVE JERSEYS

Moreover, Biden gets a Celtics jersey No.46, being the country’s 46th president.

Furthermore, Vice-President Kamala Harris and second gentleman Doug Emhoff received No.18 jerseys for Boston’s 18th title.

Massachusetts Gov Msuts Healey, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu and the state’s congressional delegation also attended the ceremony.

Biden talked briefly to Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck before the president walked a ceremonial basketball the team presented him.

The Celtics made the visit as they prepare for a road game against the Washington Wizards on Friday.

WHITE SHARES FIRST-TIME VISIT, DESCRIBES ‘COOL’ MEETING WITH BIDEN

Furthermore, guard Derrick White is just one of several Celtics players who visited the White House for the first time.

Moreover, the Team USA member shared his first-hand experience, including a “cool” meeting with Biden.

“President Biden came out there, it was cool to see him,” White said.

“I’ve never seen a president in person before, so that was really cool,” he added.

White won his first NBA title since he joined the league in 2017 with the San Antonio Spurs.

It was the Celtics first visit to the White House since 2008, when they won the NBA title over the Los Angeles Lakers.
