BCCI, PCB OFFICIALS TO MEET AND TRY TO RESOLVE CHAMPIONS TROPHY 2025 ISSUE
BCCI and PCB officials will meet and try to resolve a deadlock on the Champions Trophy 2025 hosting issue.
Furthermore, BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) secretary Jay Shah will talk to PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) chairman Mohsin Naqvi over the phone.
Furthermore, the BCCI official will also meet officials from the International Cricket Council (ICC) in Dubai.
This development came after the PCB on Thursday named Sumair Ahmad Syed as Champions Trophy chief operating officer.
Syed is also expect to talk to Shah either virtually or in person, related to the Champions Trophy 2025 hosting issue.
NAQVI CONFIDENT SYED WILL ENSURE PAKISTAN’S SUCCESSFUL HOSTING EFFORT
Moreover, Naqvi is confident that Syed’s will ensure Pakistan’s successful hosting of the Champions Trophy 2025.
Furthermore, the PCB official described the COO as an “exceptionally organized professional.”
“Sumair is exceptionally organized professional with a wealth of administrative expertise,” Naqvi said.
“I am confident he will deliver an unforgettable ICC Champions Trophy 2025 for players, officials, and fans alike,” he added.
Syed is committed to use the Champions Trophy 2025 hosting to showcase Pakistan’s fitness to “host world-class cricketing events.”
SYED SAYS HOSTING PREPARATIONS STILL WITHIN SCHEDULE DESPITE TENSIONS
Furthermore, Syed said hosting preparations are still within schedule.
The official made the assurance despite tensions between Pakistan and India.
Moreover, the COO said Pakistan welcomes all players and fans from around the world to visit the country.
“The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 promises to showcase Pakistan’s ability to host world-class cricketing events,” Syed said.
“Preparations are already well underway, with stadium upgrades nearing completion and crucial discussions ongoing with the International Cricket Council,” he added.
