GARCIA OPEN TO PAUL FIGHT AFTER HIS SUSPENSION GETS LIFTED
Garcia is open to a Paul fight after his suspension gets lifted in April 2025.
Furthermore, the 26-year-old former WBC interim lightweight champion has the skills to face a cruiserweight fighter.
Moreover, Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) can knock out a bigger and heavier Paul (11-1, 7 KOs).
“I generally think they believe I’m too small, but skills pay the bills,” Garcia told Ariel Helwani’s YouTube channel as reported by Boxing News.
“If Jake (Paul) fights the way he fought against Mike (Tyson), I believe I’ll knock him out in four or five rounds,” he added.
‘KING RYAN’ NOT CONVINCED WITH PAUL VICTORY OVER OLDER TYSON
Moreover, the suspended fighter also known as “King Ryan” is not convinced with Paul.
Paul was was coming off a unanimous decision win over Tyson on November 15.
“He (Paul) was trying to beat up on an old Mike (Tyson). We said we could run it one day, and that kind of gave birth to his boxing career,” Garcia said.
“So I’m here to end it. If I fought Jake Paul, I’d probably be 185 (pounds),” he added.
Garcia last fought in April this year, when his fight against Devin Haney was ruled as a no contest after he failed a drug test.
CHAVEZ JR ALSO LINES UP FOR POSSIBLE PAUL FIGHT
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr also lined up for a possible Paul fight.
Furthermore, the 38-year-old former WBC middleweight champion confirms getting a scheduled meeting with Paul’s camp this week.
Moreover, Chavez Jr believes that fighting the American YouTuber-turned-boxer could open up several opportunities for him.
“I’d be interested in fighting a champion, but fighting Jake Paul for the fame and the media would put me in a position to fight against others,” Chavez Jr said.
“I’m not looking for it; it’s been presented. It’s not concrete, but let’s see what happens,” he added.
