On Monday afternoon, a statement from the Serie A side Fiorentina declared that Bove’s health is improving to the point that he asked how to watch Roma’s game against Atalanta from the hospital.
The 22-year-old was rushed to the Careggi University Hospital after his collapse, which left his teammates and fans in fear of the worst.
Many people visited the player on Monday, including the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) president, Gabriele Gravina, who admitted he found the 22-year-old in ‘good spirits’ and willing to joke about his passion for Roma.
Bove asked how to watch Roma from the hospital.
The Viola player is a renowned Giallorossi die-hard fan. As a local boy, he played for their youth academy for many years before making his Serie A debut in their shirt.
“In these moments, football truly shows its essence as a community,” Gravina told reporters at the Careggi Hospital, as quoted by Calciomercato.com.
“Yesterday, the response was quick, and the sensitivity was remarkable.
“We exchanged a few words, I found him in good spirits, and he’s already focused on tonight’s match. He asked me how he could watch Roma play.”
Bove left the Giallorossi last summer, as the club decided to loan him out to Fiorentina after four seasons as a professional at the Stadio Olimpico.
The midfielder scored his first Serie A goal with the Viola against Roma, contributing to his side’s 5-1 thrashing of then-Ivan Juric’s outfit.
