JOKIC PASSES MAGIC IN MOST TRIPLE-DOUBLES IN NBA HISTORY

Jokic passes Magic in the most triple-doubles in NBA history despite the Nuggets absorbing a 126-114 loss to the Cavaliers in Cleveland.

Furthermore, “The Joker” tallied 27 points, 20 rebounds, and 11 rebounds to collect his 139th triple-double in his career.

Moreover, Jokic’s total surpasses Los Angeles Lakers’ legend Johnson (138) for third place in the league’s all-time list.

Jokic’s teammate Russell Westbrook leads the way with 200 triple-doubles.

Another retired Hall-of-Famer and previous No.1 Oscar Robertson is in second place at 181.

‘THE JOKER’ HAS THE YOUTH TO OVERTAKE WESTBROOK FOR THE RECORD

“The Joker” has the youth going on his favor to overtake Westbrook eventually for the record.

Moreover, the 29-year-old Jokic is not showing any signs of slowing down and has avoided major injuries so far.

The 7-foot All-Star center tallied 85 triple-doubles in the four seasons since he first won the Most Valuable Player trophy.

He currently has 17 triple-doubles this season, thus his pace of triple-doubles in 27.3% of games played works in his favor.

If the Serbian big man avoids a major injury, he only needs to play around 223 games to catch the 36-year-old Westbrook.

MITCHELL, GARLAND OFFSET JOKIC TRIPLE-DOUBLE TO LEAD CAVS

Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland offset Jokic’s triple-double to lead the Cavs to victory.

Furthermore, Mitchell scored 28 points on 6-of-10 shooting from deep and 11-of-24 clip overall.

Moreover, Garland had 24 points on 9-of-20 shooting to outplay Nuggets’ guard Jamal Murray in their head-to-head matchup.

All Nuggets starters, plus Westbrook, scored in double figures but Denver still fell short.

Michael Porter finished with 24 points, Murray had 19, while Aaron Gordon fired 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Denver.

Additionally, Westbrook added 10 points, three rebounds, and three assists in 16 minutes off the bench.
