BUTLER PREFERS CONTENDERS IF HEAT MOVES HIM BEFORE TRADE DEADLINE
Butler prefers to transfer to NBA contenders if the Heat move him before the trade deadline.
Furthermore, the 35-year-old forward told his agent Bernie Lee that he was open to move to “win now” teams like the Suns, Mavericks, Warriors, and Rockets.

“I actually like it (being mentioned in trade rumors). It’s good to be talked about,” Butler said.
“I’m at a point right now where I have more than enough money. I’m just here to win,” he added.
The Heat are currently No.5 in the Eastern Conference race with a 12-10 record as of Wednesday.
FAILURE TO REACH EXTENSION LAST SUMMER LED TO TRADE REPORTS
Furthermore, the failure of the two sides to reach an extension last summer led to trade reports circulating around the league.

The eccentric forward averaged 19 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4. assists this season.
He has led Miami to five playoff appearances and has seen the postseason in 12 of first 13 seasons.
Butler led the Heat to two NBA Finals appearance and one additional Eastern Conference finals appearance.
However, he has yet to win a ring, losing to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020 and the Denver Nuggets in 2022.
