FURY ‘TO DO THE JOB’ AGAINST USYK, AVENGE LONE LOSS IN CAREER
Expect Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) “to do the job” against Usyk, as he vows to avenge his lone loss in his career.
Furthermore, the 36-year-old English heavyweight fighter assured there won’t be any concerns on cuts to his eye like before.
Moreover, Fury cited an “easier” training and preparation leading to Saturday’s fight at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
“I’ve done lots of sparring nd I’ve been able to train properly, whereas before it’s no secret that I didn’t do a lot of sparring,” Fury told Sky Sports.
“This time, it’s been a lot easier,” he added.
USYK SHRUGS OFF ‘A LOT OF PAIN’ THREATS AS REMATCH NEARS
Moreover, Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) shrugged off his opponrnt’s threats that he will inflict “a lot of pain” against him.
Furthermore, the 37-year-old Ukrainian fighter only gave a short response when he was told of Fury’s threats to him for the rematch.
“Ok,” Usyk told DAZN.
Meanwhile, Usyk’s promoter Alex Krassyuk described Fury as “serious like a monk” after the British fighter’s public workout on Wednesday.
“This time, he (Fury) kept it serious like a monk,” Krassyuk said.
“Most likely, he’ll try and make some corrections in his technique and tactics,” he added.
EDDIE HEARN PICKS BRITISH FIGHTER TO GET BACK AT USYK IN REMATCH
Furthermore, trainer Eddie Hearn picked Fury to get back at Usyk in their rematch.
Moreover, Hearn predicted a “close fight” on Saturday, similar to their May 18 initial fight when Usyk won by split decision.
“I think people are forgetting for close the (first) fight was. It’s difficult to not pick Oleksandr Usyk for this fight, but I had it two rounds max for Oleksandr Usyk,” Hearn told Matchroom Boxing.
“I expect another really close fight on Saturday. I’m picking Tyson Fury for many reasons,” he added.
Hearn predicts Fury will beat Usyk this time on points.
