Fury, Usyk face off for 11 minutes in boxing’s longest staredown

FURY, USYK FACE OFF FOR 11 MINUTES IN INTENSE FINAL NEWS CONFERENCE
Fury and Usyk faced off for 11 minutes at an intense final news conference two days before their big fight on Saturday.
Furthermore, observers only separated Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) and Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) at exactly 11 minutes and 20 seconds after their face off.
Moreover, World Boxing Council (WBC) president Mauricio Sulaiman led officials who stepped in to separate the two fighters.
The 36-year-old Fury was shouting taunts at his Ukrainian opponent during the staredown.
On the other hand, the 37-year-old Usyk was calm and collected before he walked away from the face off.
ENGLISH FIGHTER TAUNTS TORMENTOR TO NO AVAIL
Moreover, the English fighter taunted his tormentor to no avail.
Furthermore, Fury was determined to get the attention of Usyk.
The Ukrainian beat him in their first matchup in May.
“I’m going to dish out a whole lot of pain and put this f—– in the hurt locker,” Fury told Usyk.
“I’ve got nothing to say except there’s going to be a whole lot of pain. I’ve talked and joked my whole career, but I’m going to do a whole lot of damage on this f—–,” he added.

Furthermore, Usyk downplayed their intense faceoff as merely a “performance with lights and cameras.”
Moreover, he is looking forward to the actual fight itself on Saturday.
“Now we have just a performance with lights and cameras,” Usyk said.
“Everything will take place on Saturday,” he added.
Meanwhile, broadcaster DAZN had to create different angles multiple times during the long staredown by featuring the packed crowd.
Team Fury members had to pull back the English fighter back several times at the faceoff.
