Zverev should win his first major title “in the next 18 months,” says Becker.
Furthermore, the world No.2’s best window to end his thirst for a Grand Slam should happen Down under later this month.
Moreover, Becker is convinced it will only get difficult for Zverev moving forward.
“He (Zverev) is now at an age where he has to do it,” the retired German tennis legend said in the Becker Petkovic podcast.
“For me, Sascha has to win the Grand Slam he longs for in the next 18 months,” he added.
BECKER SAYS SINNER, ALCARAZ TO MAKE IT DIFFICULT FOR SASCHA TO WIN MAJORS
Moreover, Becker says Italian world No.1 Jannik Sinner and Spanish world No.3 Carlos Alcaraz could make winning majors difficult for Sascha.
Furthermore, the 57-year-old six-time major winner also cited rising stars as another factor
He noted the likes of Jack Draper and Ben Shelton should make Zverev step up hard.
Zverev came into the scene at the time of the “Big 3” of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic.
Federer and Nadal have retired and Djokovic slowed down last year.
However, Sinner and Alcaraz are threatening to build a rivalry of their own.
Incidentally, the two combined to share the four majors with two titles each last year.

Furthermore, the momentum of his Paris Masters title win later last year should carry the player also known as “Sascha.”

Should he win in Melbourne and Sinner struggles Down Under, Zverev may also close the gap in the race for world No.1 after the first major of the year.
