TOWNS OUT WITH THUMB INJURY, SPRAIN IN KNICKS’ LOSS TO PISTONS

Towns is out with his right thumb injury, along with a sprain he sustained in the Knicks’ 119-124 loss to the Detroit Pistons on Monday.

Furthermore, the 7-foot big man smacked his shooting hand on the backboard as he was driving towards the basket.

Moreover, Towns finished with 26 points and 12 rebounds in 43 minutes as played through the injury at the time.

The All-Star center-forward described his injury as “is what it is.”

He was ruled out in New York’s game against the 76ers as team officials needed the swelling to go down, ESPn’s Tim Bontemps reported.
