Legendary tennis player Serena Williams made a surprise cameo during Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans.

Kendrick Lamar is “Not Like Us” with his Super Bowl performance

Lamar thrilled a packed Caesars Superdome crowd and audiences around the world watching the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Actor Samuel L. Jackson made an appearance dressed in a top hat as Uncle Sam, where he introduced the American rapper.

Dancers in all white, all red, and all blue poured out of a Buick Grand National GNX — a car that references the name of Lamar’s recent album, GNX.

The 37-year-old performed some of his recognizable hits like Squabble Up,” “DNA”, “Humble” and more.

Lamar initially teased performing his Grammy-winning diss track “Not Like Us” but then switched to a duet of Luther” with R&B singer SZA.

“Not Like Us” is Lamar’s global diss track aimed at Canadian rapper Drake, with whom he had a longstanding feud.

There had been speculation that Lamar might skip the song at the Super Bowl, but he went for it anyway.

He omitted the word ‘pedophiles,’ opting instead for a scream, but kept the line about seeking ‘A minor,’ which the crowd sang along to

Later on, Williams joined fellow Compton-native Lamar during the “Not Like Us,” performance.

The 23-time Grand Slam winner was seen dancing in a tennis-like uniform as Lamar rapped Grammy-winning track.

In a short video posted to her social media after the set, Williams commented on the performance while taking off her costume.

“Ooh, I did not crip walk like that at Wimbledon,” she said with a smirk, referencing the dance that she made.

“I would have been fiiiined!”

For those who didn’t know, Drake and Williams have a long history. 

Rumors suggested that the pair had dated, and a video also revealed that he had written his 2016 song “Too Good” about the tennis superstar.

Meanwhile, there was no unprecedented Super Bowl three-peat for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jalen Hurts led the Philadelphia Eagles in dismantling the Chiefs with a 40-22 victory at the Superdome.

This was redemption for Nick Sirianni’s team, which had suffered an agonizing Super Bowl defeat to the Chiefs two years ago in Arizona.

The Eagles have claimed their second Super Bowl victory, following their win over the New England Patriots in the 2017-2018 season.
