India routs Macau, 5-0, in a dominating performance despite the absence of top women’s singles shuttler PV Sindhu.

INDONESIA WINS, HUMBLES HONG KONG

Indonesia also won its opening-round match with s 5-0 sweep of Hong Kong on Tuesday.

Moreover, Rinov Rivaldy and Lisa Ayu Kusumawati topped Lui Chun Wai and Fu Chi Yan, 18-21, 21-8, 21-19.

Furthermore, Putri Kusuma Wardani made it 2-0 after her 21-8, 21-15 decision over Yeung Sum Yee in women’s singles action.

Muhammad Shoibul Fikri and Daniel Martin topped Law Cheuk Him and Yeung Shing Choi, 21-19, 21-23, 21-8.

UNDERMANNED HOST CHINA EDGE SINGAPORE

Undermanned host China edged Singapore, 3-2, after the hosts opted to rest their top shuttlers.

Furthermore, Xu Wen Jing started things off for the hosts in women’s singles with sa 21-10, 21-9 decision over Insyirah Khan.

Moreover, Hee Yong Kai Terry and Jin Yu Jia tied things up in mixed doubles for Singapore with a 13-21, 21-11, 21-18 win over Gao Jia Xuan and Wu Meng Ying.

Jia Heng Jason Teh gave the visitors the 2-1 lead with a 21-15, 21-15 victory over Zhu Xuan Chen in men’s singles.

Keng Shu Liang and Wang Ting Ge tied it for China for women’s doubles with a 21-9, 21-16 victory over Xiao En Heng and Zheng Yan Li.

Men’s doubles pair Huang Di and Liu Yang clinched it for the hosts by routing Loh Kean Hean and Jia Hao Howin Wong, 21-10, 21-11.
