CHINESE TAIPEI TOPS SINGAPORE; LIN BEATS LOH

Hong Kong stunned Malaysia, 3-2, as the latter felt the absence of top men’s singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia.
Moreover, Tang Chun Man and Ng Tsz Yau beat mixed doubles world No.15 Hoo Pang Ron and Cheng Su Yi, 17-21, 21-17, 21-11, to give HK a 1-0 lead.
Furthermore, Malaysia tied it after women’s singles world No.53 K Letshanaa’s 21-18, 21-18 decision over No97 Saloni Samirbhai Menta in 46 minutes.
HK made it 2-1 as men’s singles world No.21 Lee Cheuk Yiu defeated No.53 Justin Hoh, 21-19, 21-16, in 46 minutes.
World No.13 Yeung Nga Ting and Yeung Pui Lam completed HK’s conquest in women’s doubles with a 21-17, 21-14 win over Teoh Mei Xing and Go Pei Kee.
Man Wei Chong and Tee Kai Wun topped Hung Kuei Chun and Lui Chun Wai, 21-13, 21-11, in a meaningless men’s doubles match.
MALAYSIA COACH EXPLAINS TEAM’S DOWNFALL TO HK
Malaysia’s men’s singles coach K Yogendran explained why his team fell to Hong Kong.
Furthermore, the coach noted their opponent rested their “first team” after Hong Kong absorbed a 0-5 loss to Indonesia the day before.
Moreover, Yogendran cited Hong Kong’s potent lineup, as he fielded the best team possible for his side.
