Tottenham Edge Out Man United

In a shocker at London’s stadium, Tottenham beat Man United 1-0 thanks to a stunning goal from James Maddison. It all started with a scrappy move—Son Heung-min sent a pass that hit a United defender, and Lucas Bergvall’s long-range shot ricocheted off the post.

Maddison pounced on the rebound and slid the ball into an empty net. It was Tottenham’s only goal, but it was enough. Both teams had plenty of chances, with combined expected goals topping 4, but the only goal made the difference. This win marked the first time Tottenham beat United in both league meetings this season—the first time since 1989/90!

Liverpool edged Wolves as Salah continued goalscoring streak

Liverpool pulled off a thrilling 2-1 victory at Anfield over Wolves. The game started with Mohamed Salah continuing his incredible run as he set up the attack that opened the scoring. Later, Colombian striker Luiz Diaz showed off his skills by dribbling past the Wolves’ defense and winning a penalty. An Egyptian star then calmly converted the 11-meter spot-kick, giving Liverpool the lead.

However, the Wolves weren’t going down without a fight, and Liverpool had to battle hard to hold on to the win. With Liverpool’s next match away to Aston Villa on February 19, The Kop must stay focused to keep their momentum going.

La Liga Drama: Madrid Giants Held to Draws as Barcelona benefited

Over in Spain, the drama in La Liga kept fans on the edge of their seats. Real Madrid were held to a 1-1 draw by Osasuna. Early on, Kylian Mbappe fired a brilliant goal in the 15th minute after a fast break, with a slick finish from a pass by Fede Valverde. But the match took a wild turn when Jude Bellingham was sent off late in the first half after a language mix-up with the referee.

Playing with 10 men, Real relied on the heroics of Thibaut Courtois, who made several stunning saves. Despite his efforts, a late goal from Ante Budimir on a penalty situation leveled the score, leaving Real stuck with a draw and missing a chance to widen their lead on the table.

Atletico Madrid also had a tough night, as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Celta Vigo. The match started badly for Atletico when Pablo Barrios was red-carded in the 7th minute for a dangerous challenge. Still, they managed to claw back into the game. Aspas came on in the 61st minute and converted a penalty after a foul on him, giving Atletico a lifeline. But when it looked like Atletico might snatch all three points, Alexander Soloth scored in the 81st minute with a superb finish, leveling the match.

These results mean Real and Atletico sit at 51 and 50 points, respectively. At the same time, Barcelona are set to leapfrog the giants if they can beat Rayo Vallecano in their upcoming match on the early morning of February 18. With Barca already on top of the table, this could really shake up the title race.
