Manchester United’s quarter-final clash against Lyon marks the first time the two clubs have faced each other in European competition since 2008. That year, United overcame the French side in the Champions League Round of 16, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the decisive goal. The Red Devils went on to win the tournament, lifting the trophy in Moscow after defeating Chelsea in the final.
