BCCI TO KEEP SHARMA, KOHLI, JADEJA IN CENTRAL CONTRACTS A+ CATEGORY: REPORT
Expect the BCCI to keep Sharma, Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja in its central contracts;’ “A+” caregory, a report said on Thursday, amid an upcoming announcement.
Furthermore, a TOI report hinted that Sharma will not be demoted along with Kohli and Jadeja.

The trio they already retired from the T2OI (Twenty20 International) format.

IYER TO RETURN TO CATEGORY ‘A’; KISHAN STATUS REMAINS UNCERTAIN
The report also noted that veteran Shreyas Iyer will return to the A+ category.
Moreover, Iyer was dropped from the BCCI central contracts during the 2023-24 season due to his fauilure to play domestic cricket consistently.
Furthermore, the status of wicketkeeperIshan Kishan remains uncertain.
“Shreyas is set to regain his contract, and it will be in a top category. However, discussions are still ongoing on whether in Ishan’s case,” a source was quoted in the report as saying.
Iyer emerged as India’s top scorer in its run to the Champions Trophy 2025 title.
PATEL MAY BE PROMOTED TO GRADE A; VARUN, REDDY TO GET BCCI CENTRAL CONTRACTS
Left-arm spin all-rounder Axar Patel may be promoted to Grade A from Grade B, the report said.
Furthermore, mystery mystery spinner” Varun Chakravarthy, allrounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Abhishek Sharma are set to get BCCI central contracts.
Moreover, the BCCI may also need to take a second look at Yashavi Jaiswal, whose rising potential on all formats make him ripe for promotion.
Additionally, Bengal speedster Akash Deep, who has already played seven Tests, may be considered for Group C induction.
