INDIA VOWS TO SECURE ESPORTS POLICY ROADMAP INTO THE FUTURE THROUGH CONCLAVE

India vows to secure its esports policy roadmap by gathering the country’s major stakeholders.

Furthermore, the Esports Conclave 2025 urged stakeholders to submit esports policy recommendations to India’s Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

Moreover, the conclave was hosted by the Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI).

Additionally, it hopes to put into motion a formal roadmap to integrate esports into India’s sports policies.

“E-sports is a realm of sports governance with a fast-growing industry & immense potential,” India’s Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Nikhil Khadse said.

“The discussions with industry leaders, policymakers, and gaming professionals highlighted key opportunities, challenges, and the future of competitive gaming in India,” he added.

CONCLAVE TACKLES ESPORTS’ RISE IN INDIA, POLICY, INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The conclave tackled varied discussions from the rise of esports in India, among others.

Moreover, representatives from gaming firms and government institutions sent their representatives at the conclave.

Furthermore, Krafton India CEO Sean Hyunil Sohn shared his thoughts about the matter.

“With growing momentum across policy, talent, and investment, the country is well-positioned to lead the global esports narrative,” Sohn said.

“Supportive policies and a collaborative ecosysten will be key in propelling India to the forefront of the global Esports arena,” he added.

ESPORTS ‘SHOULD BE INTEGRATED INTO SCHOOL CURRICULUMS,’ SAYS PEFI OFFICIAL

A PEFI official cited the need for esports to be integrated into school curriculums.

Moreover, PEFI National Secretary Dr. Piyush Jain recognizes esports as a “rapidly growing sector.”

Furthermore, the official said having esports in schools will fasttrack its grassroots program.

“Esports is a rapidly growibg sector and should be integrated into school curriculums,” Jain said.

“Establishing structured training programs and fostering grassroots develpment will be key to nurturing talent and paving the way for future Olympic success in esports” he added.
