BUTLER LEAVES GAME 2 WITH PELVIS CONTUSION, DOUBTFUL FOR GAME 3

Butler leaves Game 2 on Wednesday after he suffered a pelvis contusion as a result of a bad fall late in the first quarter.

Furthermore, the All-Star forward crashed down on his tailbone area and was in pain after grabbing a rebound off an Amen Thompson missed shot.

Moreover, Butler collided with Thompson on the play, with the Houston forward going down briefly before getting back up.

The eccentric forward stayed to hit one of two free throws before leaving for good with 1:51 remaining in the quarter.

Golden State later announced Butler was ruled out for the rest of the game.

This allowed Houston to get the 109-94 victory to tie their series to 1-1.

KERR SAYS NOTHING ‘WRONG WITH THE PLAY’ BUT DUBS AWAIT ‘JIMMY BUCKETS’ STATUS FOR GAME 3

Warriors coach Steve Kerr believed there was nothing “wrong with the play.”

Moreover, the four-time champion coach thought Thompson “just inadvertently found himself underneath Jimmy (Butler) in the play.

Furthermore, Kerr was convinced of what his players on the bench saw after Butler went down.

“I asked our guys behind the bench and they just said it looked like there was some physicality on the rebound,” the Warriors coach said.

“We didn’t think there was anything wrong with the play. Just one of those things,” he added.
