Liverpool wins Premier League title
Arne Slot’s side needed just a single point to secure the title.
Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo, and Mohamed Salah — along with a Destiny Udogie own goal — sealed the deal for Liverpool.
Liverpool’s win matches Manchester United’s record of 20 league titles.
“This is the most beautiful club in the world. We deserve this. We are going to enjoy the next couple of weeks and take it in,” captain Virgil van Dijk told Sky Sports.
“I was desperate to win it for [the fans] and all the fans around the world, and for us as well.”

Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace on Wednesday made it mathematically impossible for them to catch the leaders, even with four games remaining.
Liverpool hold a 15-point advantage over Arsenal, having lost only twice in 34 league games this season.
Slot’s impressive first year in charge
Meanwhile, Slot capped off his first year in charge at Anfield with a championship.
The Dutch manager left Feyenoord to replace Jürgen Klopp as Liverpool manager last summer.
He also paid homeage to Klopp after the final whistle singing his name to the crowd.

“It was clear we couldn’t lose this game. Everyone on the bus said there’s no way we’re going to lose this game,” Slot told Sky Sports.
“They always find a way to win. Incredibly proud, not only of the players but the people standing here, sport directors, my staff members, we should give them a big round of applause.”
“Let’s forget it’s the second in 35 years, it’s the second in five years.”
