CELTICS VS KNICKS SEES NEW YORK SNATCH ANOTHER COMEBACK WIN FOR 2-0 LEAD

The Celtics vs Knicks showdown saw New York snatch another comeback win after their 91-90 decision to take a 2-0 lead.

Furthermore, New York got another clutch play from Mikal Bridges as the road team put the defending champions on the edge in Boston.

Moreover, Bridges scored all of his 14 points in the fourth quarter before batted the ball away from Jayson Tatum and recovered it to seal the win.

Jalen Brunson scored 17 points, including two free throws that gave the Knicks the 91-90 lead with 12.7 seconds left.

The Knicks now leave Boston undefeated and head to New York getting two chances to sweep the defending champs.

NEW YORK USES 23-6 WINDUP TO SILENCE BOSTON CROWD

New York used a 23-6 windup to silence the Boston crowd.

Moreover, Josh Hart led the way with 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting for the Knicks.

Furthermore, Karl Anthony Towns tallied another double-double with 21 points and 17 rebounds in 35 minutes.

“Going home we realize the opportunity we have. We just have to stay locked in,” Brunson said.

“Just finding ways to win,” Bridges added.

SLOPPY 3-POINT SHOOTING DID CELTICS AGAIN

Sloppy three-point shooting became the Celtics’ downfall for the second-straight game.

Furthermore, Boston went just 10-of-40 from deep in Game 2 after the hosts missed 45 3-pointers in the Game 1 loss.

Moreover, Celtics coach Joe Mazzulia rued the game’s last play that had Bridges blocking Tatum in the corner at the buzzer to seal it for the Knicks.

“Had one (timeout) left, got a good look on the exact same play 20 seconds later,” Mazulla said.

“Tried to execute the exact same thing, they did a better job of their lower pick-up point and we weren’t able to get the advantage that we had on the last Tatum dunk,” he added.

Jayken Brown and Derrick White finished with 20 points each, while Tatum added 13 for the Celtics.
