HALIBURTON INVITES PACERS FAN HECKLED IN NEW YORK BASED ON VIRAL VIDEO

Haliburton invites the Pacers’ fan who was heckled in New York as seen in a viral video that spread social media last week.

Furthermore, the 25-year-old guard made the invitation to firefighter Hans Perez on a video call on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Monday.

Moreover, Haliburton disclosed that the Pacers will cover Perez’s and his guest’s tickets to Game 4 of the ECF between Indiana and New York at Indianapolis.

“Everybody in our organization wants to make sure you’re taken care of,” Haliburton told Perez on the video call after the Pacers’ practice on Monday.

“All the team’s excited to meet you. It’s all we’ve been talking about,” he added.

PEREZ KEPT COOL DESPITE KNICKS FANS THROWING TRASH AT HIM IN NEW YORK

Perez was seen in the viral video keeping his cool and walking away after fans threw thrash at him in New York.

Moreover, the fan was seen wearing a Haliburton shirt after the Knicks closed out the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of their Eastern Conference semifinals in New York.

Furthermore, Knicks fans noticed Perez with the Haliburton shirt walking.

They then threw garbage at him.

Perez thanked Haliburton and the Pacers for the invite.

He hopes he can get a day off to watch Game 4.

“I’m pretty sure we can work something out. Go Pacers!” Perez said.

PACERS, KNICKS EYE RETURN TO NBA FINALS

The Pacers and Knicks begin their journey in their bid to return to the NBA Finals.

Game 1 of the ECF begins on Wednesday.

Furthermore, Indiana last made it to the NBA Finals in 2000.

Moreover, they lost to Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers in six games.

The Pacers are in their second-straight ECF afte losing last year to then eventual champion Celtics.

New York was that team Indiana beat to reach the ECF in 2000, losing 4-2.

The Knicks last made the NBA Finals in 1999.

A Patrick Ewing-less New York squad lost, 4-1, to Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs.
