Raphinha signs contract extension
Barca had initially signed the 28-year-old on a deal that ran until 2027
However, they granted him an additional year following his breakout season.
Raphinha joined Barca from Leeds United in 2022 for around €60 million and scored 20 goals across his first two campaigns with the Catalan club.
Under coach Hansi Flick, the Brazilian took his game to the next level this season.

He netted 34 goals and providing 25 assists in 56 appearances.
Most importantly, Raphinha played a key role in helping the club secure a domestic treble — winning LaLiga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Supercopa.
Barca delighted by Raphinha’s performance
Raphinha signed his new deal on Thursday, just a day after Flick extended his contract until 2027.
Meanwhile, Barca sporting director Deco said he is working on securing long-term extensions for more players.
“I’m not surprised by his season, I’ve known him for many years,” Deco said.
“His first year was very good and the second was a little down, but this season he’s been spectacular. If a player wants to be at Barca, he has to be 200% committed, and Raphinha, from the very first minute, never wanted to leave. He wanted to stay [last summer] and he was confident in himself, and we’re delighted.”

In his first two seasons at Barca, Raphinha came off the bench 11 times and started just 42 out of a possible 76 matches.
He admitted to ESPN earlier this season that he had considered leaving the club before his breakout campaign.
