DURANT TO JOIN ROCKETS FOR GREEN, BROOKS, MULTIPLE DRAFT PICKS

Expect Durant to join the Rockets after the Suns dealt him for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, a 2025 first-round pick, and five second-round picks.

Furthermore, multiple reports spread the news as Durant attended the Fanatics Fest at the Jarvis Center in New York when he heard it.

Moreover, the 37-year-old four-time Olympic gold medallist welcomed the news after he heard hints that he would be dealt to Houston.

“Being part of the Houston Rockets, I’m looking forward to it. Crazy, crazy last couple weeks, but I’m glad it’s over with,” ,” Durant told Kay Adams Sunday.

“They (Rockets) had a great season last year. Love their leadership. I felt like I’d be a good addition,” he added.

SUNS ‘WANTED ME TO GO,’ DURANT RECALLS; FORWARD READY TO ‘MOVE ON’

The Suns “wanted me to go,” Durant recalled, but the forward is ready to “move on” with his new team.

Moreover, the veteran averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 62 games for the Suns during the past regular season.

Furthermore, he assured there’s no hate from him on his time with the Suns.

However, he’s just ready to move “to something else.”

“(The Suns) wanted me to go. They got what they wanted, and I got what I wanted,” Durant told Adams.

“We can move on, and good luck to them going forward. Always remember my time there, but we’re on to something else,” he added.

Forward Dillon Brooks (9, left) and guard Jalen Green (4, right) discuss something in a play while playing for Houston the past regular season. Thew two players were shipped to Phoenix as part of the Kevin Durant trade on Sunday.

SUNS GET YOUNGER, PAIR BOOKER WITH GREEN, GET TOUGHNESS WITH BROOKS

The Suns get younger by pairing franchise star Devin Booker with the 23-year-old Green, who averaged 21 points along with 4.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 82 games this season.

Furthermore, Phoenix will also get defensive toughness in Brooks, who ranked third in total defensive matchups against 2025 All-Stars, according to ESPN Research.

Moreover, the Suns finally dealt a veteran superstar and lowered their payroll.

Durant preferred three teams: Rockets, Miami Heat, and the San Antonio Spurs – as landing spots.

The trade quickly boosted Houston’s odds to win the NBA title next season from 18-1 to +850 at ESPN BET.

That’s the second-best odds behind only the reigning Western Conference champion Oklahoma City Thunder (+220).

However, the Suns’ odds dropped from 100-1 to 300-1 at ESPN BET.
