PORZINGIS TRADE NOT ‘LAST DOMINO’ AS CELTICS MULL HORFORD, KORNET FATES

The Porzingis trade may not be the “last domino” for the Celtics.

Furthermore, NBC Sports Boston Celtics insider Chris Forsberg said Boston is still mulling the fates of their other big men.

Moreover, he cited Porzingis’ trade to the Atlanta Hawks as an opportunity to re-sign either Al Horford or Luke Kornet.

Moreover, the hoop expert acknowledged the Celtics had to offload the USD30.7 Porzingis is owed in the final year of his deal.

“You maybe have the opportunity to entertain some of the big men that you want to bring back, either Al Horford or Luke Kornet,” Forsberg told Early Edition.

“But again, I’m not sure this is the last domino,” he added.

BROWN, WHITE MAY BE UNTOUCHABLE BUT DRAFT, MAJOR TRADE OFFER MAY CHANGE THAT

Jaylen Brown and Derrick White may be untouchable for Boston.

Moreover, it would take a very enticing offer that involved a superstar to make Boston consider of dealing either Brown or White.

Furthermore, Forsberg won’t be surprised if the Celtics move key reserve Sam Hauser.

Hauser is set to make USD10 million in 2025-26.

“If you move off of Sam Hauser’s money, would that open up another slot to potentially bring back some of the free agents that you need to do?” the insider said.

“You’ve got to fill out this frontcourt somehow now that Porzingis is gone,” he added.

BOSTON EYES TO MOVE UP IN DRAFT TO PICK JAKUCIONIS

Boston is eying to move up in Wednesday’s Draft for a chance to pick Kasparas Jakucionis, according to a report.

Furthermore, Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens is looking to move to within the top 14.

Moreover, Steve Bulpett of Heavy.com said Stevens wants to upgrade Boston’s 28th and 32nd overall picks by getting a top 14 pick.

Jakucionis is a 6-foot-6 Lithuanian guard who averaged 15.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists with the Fighting Illini.

Forsberg sees Jakucionis landing at No.10 with the Phoenix Suns in his latest mock draft.

However, the Celtics might want to change that narrative if Stevens pulls off a last-minute deal before the Draft.
