The 2025 NBA Draft on Wednesday saw Cooper Flagg become the top overall pick by the Dallas Mavericks as expected.

2025 NBA DRAFT SEES FLAGG GO NO.1 PICK TO MAVS

The 2025 NBA Draft has Flagg formalize his way into history as the No.1 pick by the Mavericks.

Furthermore, the 18-year-old Duke standout comes to a Dallas squad that has title ambitions after reaching the NBA Finals in 2024.

Moreover, the 6-foot-8 teenager hopes to play in the playoffs right away as he pairs with All-Stars Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving.

“I’m feeling amazing. It’s a dream come true, to be honest,” Flagg said moments as he shared the moments with his family and friends.

“I wouldn’t want to share it with anybody else,” he added.

HARPER TO SPURS, JOINS FOX , CASTLE IN LOADED BACKCOURT

Dylan Harper went to the San Antonio Spurs, who got the No.2 pick, as he joins a loaded backcourt that already has Stephon Castle and De’Aron Fox.

Moreover, the 6-foot-6 Rutgers pointguard became the Spurs’ third-straight top-three pick after No.1 choice Victor Wembanyama (2023) and No.4 choice Castle (2024).

Furthermore, the son of retired NBA player Ron Harper Sr. welcomes joining a “young core” of Spurs players despite possibly playing behind Fox and Castle.

“I think when you play with a bunch of great players, it just brings the best out of you,” Harper said.

“They got a great young core over there. I’m just ready to get in there and make an impact anywhere I can with those guys,” he added.

The Spurs would later pick forward Carter Bryant out of Arizona at No.14 for their second first-round choice.

SIXERS TAKE EDGECOMBE; BAILEY GOES TO JAZZ

The Philadelphia 76ers, who had the No.3 pick, used to grab VJ Edgecombe, a Baylor guard who hopes to complement Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey.

Furthermore, the Charlotte Hornets took shooting guard Kon Knueppel out of Duke at No.4, while the Washington Wizards, at No.6 grabbed Tre Johnson.

Moreover, Ace Bailey, who cancelled a workout with the 76ers and was a projected top-3 pick, fell to No.5 with the Utah Jazz.

The New Orleans Pelicans took Jeremiah Fears at No.7, followed by guard Egor Demin taken by the Brooklyn Nets at No.8.

Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors, at No.9, selected forward Collin Murray-Boyles, while the Phoenix Suns picked center Khaman Maluach.

The Suns got the No.10 pick from the Houston Rockets as a result of the Kevin Durant trade a few days ago.
