La Real surge ahead

Real Sociedad scored a major win, upending Celta Vigo, 2-0.

Alexander Isak and Aritz Elustondo came up big in this meeting, contributing a goal each. Isak provided the first strike with an incursion at the 54th minute. Elustondo then followed suit 25 minutes later.

Madrid clubs experience same fate

Both Atlético and Real Madrid encountered draws in their respective matches. Atlético Madrid ended in a 2-2 equilibrium with Levante.

Enis Bardhi acted as spoiler for the defending La Liga titlists with two successful penalty tries, the last one occurring at the 90th minute. The Macedonian midfielder’s effort foiled Antoine Griezmann’s and Matheus Cunha’s output.

Meanwhile, neither Real Madrid nor Osasuna had a notch on the scoresheet, their clash concluding in a scoreless draw.

Real Betis make short work of Valencia

Real Betis routed Valencia, 4-1, to keep in step with the frontrunners.

Borja Iglesias had a brace, scoring a penalty at the 14th minute followed by an attack at the 30th minute. Germán Pezzella and Juanmi complete the tally with goals at the 61st and 68th minutes, respectively.

Gabriel Paulista was responsible for Valencia’s lone score.
