Real Madrid score two wins in three days

Los Blancos defeated Sevilla and Athletic Bilbao in succession to collate 36 points in 15 matches. Their closest pursuers, Atlético Madrid and Real Sociedad, are seven points down.

Karim Benzema powered his way in both matches, scoring a goal on each. With this, he becomes the all-time French goalscoring leader, surpassing Thierry Henry for the honor.

Atleti, Real Betis also win

It was a tough week for clubs in continental competition positions, with only three of them winning.

Atlético Madrid bested down on their luck Cádiz, 4-1. Thomas Lemar, Antoine Griezmann, Ángel Correa, and Matheus Cunha contributed a goal each for the cause.

Meanwhile, Betis beat Levante, 3-1, with Juanmi completing a hat trick.
