2026 ASIAN GAMES UNVEILS 11 ESPORTS TITLES AS MEDAL EVENTS

The 2026 Asian Games unveils 11 eSports titled that will count as medal events in the event held in Aichi-Nagoya.

Furthermore, the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) made the announcement after a meeting on Saturday.

Moreover, the emergency executive board meeting was attended by Asian Games Organizing Committee Vice-President and OCA Director General Hussai nAl Usallam.

He was joined by members of the National Olympic Committees, Executive Board, and the chairs of the OCA Standing Committees.

They met to update previous eSports that were featured in the 2022 Asiad.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) earlier announced the first Olympic Esports Games is set in Riyadh in 2027.

MLBB RETURNS, LOL, GRAN TURISMO, EFOOTBALL MAKE 2026 ASIAD ESPORTS LIST

Mobile Legends: Bang Bng (MLBB), League of Legends (LoL), Gran Turismo, and eFootball series made it to the 2026 Asiad eSports list.

Moreover, one medal will be disputed in the Competitive Martial Arts (Team Competition) category.

Street Fighter Series, Tekken Series, and King of Fighter Series comprise this category.

Pokemon Unite, Honor of Kings, PUBG Mobile (Asian version), and Identity V (Asian Games version) also made the list.

Naraka: Bladepoint and Puyo Puyo Champions round out the 11 eSports medal events in the Japan Asiad.

MONOTONE GAMES OFFICIAL LAUDS MLBB’S INCLUSION IN 2026 ASIAD

Furthermore, an official of Monotone games, developer of MLBB, lauded its inclusion in the 2026 Asiad medal sports.

Moreover, Monotone esports ecosystem head Ray Ng cited MLBB has proved it’s “premier mobile esport” status with this development.
