Moreover, the deal would guarantee the seven-foot All-Star center through the 2028-29 season.
Embiid confirmed the extension on Friday, saying he hopes to remain a Sixer “for the rest of my career.”
“Philadelphia is home. I want to be here for the rest of my career,” Embiid wrote on social media.
“I love this community and everything you’ve given me and my family,” he added.
CENTER SAYS ‘MORE WORK TO DO’ IN BID TO GIVE SIXERS A TITLE
Moreover, the center says there’s “more work to do” in his bid to give the Sixers an NBA title since 1983.
“There is a lot more work to do., You guys deserve a championship, and I think we’re just getting started,” Embiid said.
Furthermore, Embiid – a member of Team USA that won the men’s basketball gold in the 2024 Paris Olympics – will decline his USD59-million player option for the 2026-27 season.
That would enable him to ink his name in his new three-year extension.
The 30-year-old Cameroonian-American will earn USD69 million in the final year under the new deal.

Furthermore, an ownership group partner described Embiid as “one of the greatest Sixers of all time.”
Moreover, Josh Harris, a managing partner of the ownership group, also called the big man “a great family man, leader, and person.”
“He (Embiid) is integral to this franchise’s quest for another NBA Championship,” Harris said.
“We are honored that he continues to choose this organization as his NBA home,” he added.
Embiid’s contract extension caps a season where Philadelphia locked up its top players and key new additions.
The Sixers earlier extended All-Star guard Tyrese Maxey before signing All-Star forward Paul George, Caleb Martin, and guard Eric Gordon.
Philadelphia also inked deals for center Andre Drummond and guards Kelly Oubre and Kyle Lowry.
