Afridi assured that there’s no issue with his fitness with Pakistan heading into Champions Trophy 2025.
Moreover, the 6-foot-6 bowler allayed the fans’ fears after Haris Yauf went down with an injury in Pakistan’s latest tri-series against New Zealand.
Furthermore, Afridi noted he and teammates are ready for Pakistan’s opning match against New Zealand in Karachi on Wednesday.
“I find myself in good form and feel like I’m fully fit,” Afridi said.
“There are always niggles and some pain for a fast bowler, but the physios are very good these days and can get us ready quite quickly,” he added.
SHAHEEN SPEED RISES IN TIME FOR CHAMPIONS TROPHY
Shaheen’s bowling speed continues to rise amid his recovery from injury just in time for Champions Trophy 2025.
Furthermore, the bowler’s speed increased after he recovered from his knee injury in 2022.
Moreover, Afridi’s impressive was listed at between 135 to 140 kilometers per hour.
“People take a lot of interest in my speeds. But aside from the 2021 T20 World Cup, if you look at my bowling, I bowl between 135-137kph in the first over,” Afridi said.
“But I’ve never felt my pace is down in a way that it is stopping me from getting wickets,” he added.
