Following a 3-1 loss to Al Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup last week, in which the 37-year-old star could not score or create chances, an alleged Al Nassr director is said to have expressed his frustration about the result.
“Get out of here. I spent 200 million euros and he [Ronaldo] only knows how to go ‘Siuuuu’. It’s not possible, ” the man, who is said to be the Al Nassr director, can be seen as saying.
It’s fair to say some fans have been growing out of patience for Ronaldo’s performance so far, but it remains to see if the viral video about Al-Nassr’s director talked about Ronaldo is legit or not.
No honey moon for Cristiano Ronaldo
It has been no easy at all for Ronaldo with his new challenges in the Middle East. Al-Nassr was the back-to-back champions of the Saudi Super Cup in 2019 and 2020 but had just been eliminated by Al-Ittihad.
Al-Ittihad defeated Al-Nassr 3-1 in the Saudi Super Cup semifinal, in the game that their fans chanted Lionel Messi to mock Ronaldo.
Meanwhile, Al-Nassr’s boss Rudi Garcia hinted Ronaldo’s possible return to Europe in the latest conference.
“He will not finish his career at Al-Nassr, he will return to Europe.” Garcia said.
