ALCARAZ, KEYS ADVANCE TO QUARTERFINALS IN BNP PARIBAS OPEN
Alcaraz and Keys advanced in the BNP Paribas Open quarterfinals in contrasting fashion.

Alcaraz took advantage, pounding the Bulgarian 14th seed to submission.
MADISON OUTLASTS VEKIC; BENCIC UPSETS GAUFF IN WOMEN’S PLAY
Keys outlasted Vekic, who blew a 5-3 lead in the second set and allowed her American opponent to come back.
Moreover, the reigning Australian Open champion adjusted her serve to turn the tables on Vekic and arrange showdown with Bencic.
Furthermore, Bencic upset American No.3 seed Gauff, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
“So I just wanted to try to play really tough the first game and just try to get the thing that I was doing well in order to close out that set,” Keys said.
“Obviously, this is why you are practicing and working hard all your life,” Bencic added, regarding her srong resolve to beat Gauff.
DRAPER HAILS ‘ONE OF A KIND COACH’ AFTER WIN OVER FRITZ
Meanwhile, Jack Draper hailed his “one of a kind coach” James Trotman after he also earned a place in the quarterfinals.
Furthermore, the 23-year-old British world No.14 described Trotman as soneone with “hardly no ego” after his 7-5, 6-4 victory over American Taylor Fritz.
Moreover, Draper credits his early 2025 success to Trotman, with the Brit going 10-2 so far.
“We have such a great relationship and a lot of respect for each other as well,” Draper said.
“It’s nice to be on the road with him and come through all these types of emotions,” he added.
