ARSENAL JOINS RACE TO GRAB DELAP DESPITE STIFF COMPETITION FROM THREE OTHER CLUBS

Furthermore, the 22-year-old Ipswitch Town forward fits the Gunners’ need to land a top-tier striker, which is a priority for the club.
Moreover, Delap is reportedly keen to leave Ipswitch Town in the upcoming summer transfer window, sending signals to several clubs eyeing him.
However, Arsenal will face stiff competition from Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United in landing the 6-foot-1 forward.
Delap was signed by Ipswitch from Manchester City in the summer of 2024.

The Gunners have some options if they fail to land Delap.
Moreover, Arsenal primary tartget, Yahoo! Sports reported, was Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.
Furthermore, the club is also kept an eye opn Slovenian forward Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.
Arsenal’s radar is also onto Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and Liverpool’s Diogo Jota.
Reports, however, also noted that manager Mikel Arteta plans to bring in an elite forward like Delap at Emirates Stadium and lure him of joining the club.
DELAP’S STYLE OF PLAY COMPARED TO HARRY KANE, SAYS WALCOTT
Delap’s style of play is being compared to English footballer and Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane.
Furthermore, Delap has so far netted 10 goals and had two assists in 28 Premier League appearances this season.
Moreover, former Arsenal forward Theo Walcott seemed to agree with the comparisons to Kane.
“An old-school number nine,” Waltcott said, referring to Delap.
Meanwhile, Arsenal recently held discussions with Delap’s camp and officials were impressed by his demeanor.
