ASIAN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE UNVEILED IN SHANGHAI, FEATURES MNINE ESPORTS TITLES
The Asian Champions League enables players to get their shot to play in nine popular esports game titles.
Furthermore, Hero Esports made the announcement on Wednesday.
Moreover, Counter-Strike 2, Dota, Honor of Kings, and Street Fighter Six were among the chosen games
Teamfight Tactics, Delta Force, Crossfire, and the Legend Cup of League of Legends also made the cut.
The Valorant Champions Tour rounded out the esports games entered in the fledging leage.
Players from more than 1,000 teams around China have already gathered for the Counter-Strike 2 competitions.
These events will be spread across 32 cities that started on February 15.
HERO ESPORTS REWARDS WINNERS DIRECT PASS TO ESPORTS WORLD CUP
Hero Esports vowed to reward winner of these events direct passes to the EWC, which will be held in Saudi Arabia this summer.
Moreover, the ACL’s games were based on four major genres, namely MOBA, FPS, engaging, and fighting.
Furthermore, the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) is hosting the EWC.
The ACL Grand Finals is expected to lure an estimated 10,000 spectators,
This will be held acrosss multiple venues in Shanghai from May 16 to 18.
Organizers have gathered a total prize pool of up to USD2 million for the ACL.
ACL SIGN DEALS TO BOOST SHANGHAI’S ESPORTS INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT
The ACL recently signed cooperation deals with the Shanghai Jiushi (Group) Co Ltd and Jun Jiang International Holdings Co.
Furthermore, the agreements aimed to promote the development and integration of sports and technologies in the city.
Moreover, ACL chief executive officer Jonny Wang is committed to enhance China’s growing esports industry that will rub off across Asia.
“As a tournament born and rooted in Shanghai, the ACL will work with partners to deepen the integration of sports, cultural tourism, consumption and technologies,” Wang said.
“We believe the event will boost the esports industry in China and the whole of Asia, and will further expand Shanghai’s influence at the global esports stage,” he added.
