ATLETICO KEEN TO MOVE JOAO FELIX TO CHELSEA AFTER FAILED OMORODION TRANSFER
Furthermore, Atletico is keen to move Felix to Chelsea after a failed Omorodion transfer from the La Liga side to Stamford Bridge.
Omorodion was reportedly moved from Atletico to Chelsea but talks bogged down on Sunday, sources told ESPN.
Moreover, Atletico and Chelsea are trying to complete an agreement for Felix to return to the Blues and for Conor Gallagher to join the Los Colchoneros.
Felix’s agent Jorge Mendes is currently negotiating with Chelsea to facilitate the forward’s return to the Premier League club.
Incidentally, the 24-year-old Portuguese international spent six months on loan with Chelsea in 2023.
FELIX TRANSFER TO CHELSEA KEY TO KEEP GALLAGHER MOVE TO ATLETICO
Moreover, a Felix transfer to Chelsea will be the key to keeping the Gallagher move to Atletico alive, sources said.
The England international is part of a major rebuild of Atletico this summer that includes signing up center-back Robin Le Normand from Real Sociedad.
Furthermore, the Atletico rebuild also included signing forward Alexander Sorloth from Villareal.
On the other hand, Gallagher’s move to Atletico was conditional on Omorodion going to the Blues.
This is the reason why Atletico is determined to use Felix, who was on loan at Barcelona last season, as an alternative for Omorodion.
Meanwhile, the La Liga side confirmed on Friday that Gallagher was in Madrid on Friday to work on closing a deal.

Furthermore, the Blues are also pursuing Romelu Lukaku from Napoli and Victor Osimhen after failed Omorodion talks.
Osimhen may be looking for a change of scenery and more playing time after being left on the bench in a recent match.
Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca blamed the Premier League’s financial rules for them to offload talent from their academy.
“But this is not Chelsea’s problem, these are the rules,” Maresca told reporters as reported by The Mirror.
“All the clubs at this moment are compelled to sell players from the academy because of the rules. It’s all of the Premiere clubs’ problem,” he added.
