BANGLADESH VS NEW ZEALAND MATCH TO DECIDE PAKISTAN’S FATE IN RAWALPINDI

The Bangladesh vs New Zealand match will determine host Pakistan’s fate as the two teams collide at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Furthermore, New Zealand rode high after beating the hosts by 60 runs on opening day at the National Stadium in Karachi.

Moreover, it will also be a must-win game for Bangladesh, which lost its opening match against India in Dubai last week.

Pakistan, which is coming off a six-wicket loss to India on Sunday, is reeling from back-to-back losses.

A Bangladesh loss will formally oust Pakistan and formalize New Zealand’s entry to the semifinals.

RIZWAN ADMITS ‘MAKING MISTAKES’ IN LAST FEW GAMES, DOESN’T ‘DEPEND ON OTHERS’

Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan admitted his team made a lot of “mistakes” in their last two matches.

Moreover, the skipper all but acknowledged the hosts are all but done before their home fans after the twin losses.

Furthermore, Rizwan is not keen on “depending on others” to determine their chances of sneaking through the next round.

“As a captain, I don’t like depending on others. If you are good enough, you show it by winning and keeping things in your hands,” the captain said.

“I don’t like worrying about their results. What matters is that India and New Zealand beat us,” he added.

SKIPPER FOCUSES TALK ON KOHLI INSTEAD OF PAKISTAN’S IMPENDING EXIT

The skipper would rather talk about their nemesis India and its star player Virat Kohli in his news conference.

Furthermore, Rizwan shifted amid Pakistan facing its third exit at a white-ball ICC tounament in a row.

Moreover, he lauded Kohli’s unbeaten 100 of 111 balls with seven fours that destroyed Pakistan in their match.

“First, let’s talk about Virat Kohli. I am surprised at his hard work He must have worked so hard,” Rizwan said.

“We tried hard to get him out, but he took the game away. Th world said he was out of form, but he did it in this big match,” he added.
